Central Park Was a Perfect Inspiration for this season. Despite all the change, the city skyscrapers framed by the park gave perfect poetic textures to inspire. Together they composed a striking contradiction, not unlike the contradiction in human nature. Setting up to paint on an Indian Fall day in 2020, the great city rose from the rugged rocks. The given name of the spot in Central Park, Pilgram Hill, suggests a narrative of a great city rising from a humble beginning.
